Services
Full-service family practice
The doctors at the clinic provide the full range of primary care services to our patients, who range from newborn babies to the very elderly. Our patients are welcome to approach us about sexual health, LGBTQ+ health, family planning, termination of pregnancy, drug and alcohol problems, palliative medicine, and medical assistance in dying (MAiD). Our clinic aims to be a culturally safe space for all members of our community.
Urgent and emergency care
We provide urgent care for the community. Our doctors are equipped to manage serious problems related to illness or injury. We work closely with BC Ambulance to ensure our community members can be managed and stabilized locally and then transported safely to hospital after emergencies.
Mental health, addictions and social support
We are fortunate to have Social Worker and Mental Health Clinician, Angela Pounds, and Mental Health and Addictions Nurse, Cathy Fox, working with us at the clinic.
You can refer yourself to Angela or Cathy using the self-referral Gabriola Medical Outreach Form below, or your doctor can refer you.

Home and community care
We also work closely with the Home and Community Care team. The home care nurse does wound care, palliative care and post-operative care. She works out of our clinic daily. The rest of the team, which includes occupational and physical therapy, social work, respiratory therapy, seniors’ mental health, and nurse case management, visit Gabriola and the clinic on a regular basis.
Telemedicine
The clinic is equipped with a state of the art video conferencing system which allows Gabriolans to access specialist care in Victoria and Vancouver. Patients of the BC Cancer Agency and Geriatric Psychiatry are the most regular users of this service.
Visiting specialists
We have great relationships with visiting specialist colleagues in plastic surgery, general surgery and internal medicine who come to the clinic on a regular basis to see new consults and provide follow-up.
